Grape Seed oil

I purchased Grape seed oil two weeks ago and so far I'm loving it. It is odorless, easily absorbed and it feels very light on the skin. Even lighter than jojoba oil. It is rich in beta-carotene(antioxidant, protects the skin against sunburn), vitamins E, D, C. Contains essential fatty acids like palmitic, stearic, and linoleic acid. Except antioxidant and anti-aging benefits, linoleic acid has been shown to be effective in cell regeneration. Its emollient and moisturizing properties help in making the skin soft and strong. Rich in polyphenols, which prevent acne breakouts and retard the aging process.Grape seed oil can be used as an antiseptic and for treating conditions like eczema, psoriasis, yeast infections and dermatitis. Because of it's property to protect the body from the sun,the oil is widely used in sunscreens.

Now I will tell you how I have used it and what are the benefits I have noticed.

Hair and scalp:
I have used it on my scalp and I have noticed it has reduced dandruff. When I use baking soda and vinegar rinse I don't have any dandruff, but when I use shampoo I can't get rid of it. The one that was supposed to remove it made it worse. So I gently massage my scalp with grape seed oil for 5 minutes, add a little extra and  comb it through my hair with my fingers and then I shampoo. Another thing is that because it has a non greasy texture it doesn't weigh down your hair. It also soothes your hair and makes it more manageable. You can use it as a hot oil treatment once a month.

Face:
I have used it on my face to nourish my skin and it works very well. I don't remember when was the last time I've  had a breakout. Both Jojoba and Grape seed oil do the same job on my skin. Can you believe that it has been months since I have used soap on my face or a face cleanser?! Every morning and every night before I go to bed, I take a clean towel, wet it and then rub my face gently. It works as a gentle exfoliator and removes dirt from my face. Only in the morning I apply 4-5 drops of jojoba or grape seed oil and wait for my skin to absorb it. Now, I do my "How to have clear skin naturally" method once or twice a week. I don't need to do it daily.

Sunscreen:
I use grape seed oil under my sunscreen. Since it protects the skin from sunburn, why not ! I use a non-oily sunscreen though, with a very light texture. I am searching for one with safer ingredients, but haven't found a good one yet. Anyway, I apply some drops, wait for my skin to absorb the oil and then I apply the sunscreen.

This is my experience with grape seed oil so far and I hope it helps!
